Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust completes 15 years of its social service which includes Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye Banks.
Chiranjeevi launched his Charitable Trust on 2nd October 1998 with a mission to bridge the gap between demand and supply of blood in AP.
It is the state’s largest recipient of blood and eye donations. The trust has made over 68,000 blood donations through and 1,414 eye donations. The Blood Bank of the CCT helped over 100,000 people and the Eye Bank has helped about 2000 people in the state of Andhra Pradesh since its opening.
Chiranjeevi promoted the awareness of blood donation very aggressively with the help of his fans. Each film of him also has clippings of Chiranjeevi’s message about blood and eye donation.
In 2006, President of India – Dr. Abdul Kalam inaugurated the new facility of Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation . He said , Chiranjeevi Charitable foundation is removing the pain of people – Dr. Abdul Kalam.
