Indian Army waited for a right time to answer the brutal Uri attacks by Jaish-e-Muhammed terrorists infiltrated into India with support of our neighbor Pakistan. In a timely and planned manner, Indian Army conducted surgical strikes last night along the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), Director General of Military Operations Lt Gen Ranbir Singh said.
‘Significant casualties have been caused to terrorists and those trying to shield them. We don’t have a plan to further conduct such strikes. India has spoken to Pakistan,’ Ranbir Singh added.
Based on the information received, terrorist teams were positioned along the LoC and have been waiting to infiltrate into India with planned strategy to strike in Jammu and Kashmir and various other metros in India. As per the latest reports, no Indian casualties are reported as the surgical strikes were cleanly carried last night by Indian Army.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prior informed President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President, Former Prime Minister Mahmohan Singh, Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit. Three ceasefire violations were reported along the LoC in the last 24 hours by Pakistan forces.
