Prajarajyam party president Chiranjeevi faced an embarrassing situation today in hands of Pro-Telangana activists.
As Chiranjeevi entered the Vidyut Soudha building after staging a dharna to submit a memorandum to the Transco authorities against power cuts, several Telangana employees ghearoed him and found fault with him for taking pro-United Andhra stand. They raised “Jai Telangana” slogans and demanded that he support Telangana state.
But Chiranjeevi ignored their plea and went straightaway to the sixth floor to meet the officials. While he was coming down in the lift, it suddenly got stuck in the middle. The PRP leaders along with Chiru pressed emergency button and after a few minutes, the lift operators brought him out safely.
Later, it was known that the stoppage of lift was the handiwork of Telangana employees, who wanted to register their protest against Chiranjeevi.
