Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party has received yet another jolt on Wednesday, when former Vijayawada MLA and popular figure in Krishna district politics Vangaveeti Radhakrishna decided to desert the PRP.
Radhakrishna, son of late Sri Vangaveeti Ranga who was a strong leader of Kapu cast from Vijayawada, joined the PRP before the elections after quitting the Congress. His entry into the PRP led to several leaders like Kesineni Nani and Katari Eshwara Kumar to leave the party and join the TDP. Radha is a close friend of Pawan Kalyan and we have seen Radha accompanying Pawan Kalyan on the day of latter’s rifle surrounding to police at Jubilee Hills Police station. Radha was very much present when Pawan Kalyan announced his CMPF. He was believed to be the PRP’s trump card to challenge Kamma leaders like Devineni Nehru and Lagadapati in Krishna district.
However, after he had lost the elections, Radha has been keeping silent in the PRP politics. Now, he decided to quit the PRP. If sources are to be believed, he is all set to join the TDP. He already had an understanding with TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu. Let us see how many leaders quit the TDP if Radha joins the party.
