Dear Sir,
I am a big fan of Chiranjeevi for the last 25 years and I am getting happiness when ever ‘Chiru’ is getting great success. I saw ‘Stalin’ a couple of times and I felt it could have been made better with little more thinking. There are simple mistakes apart from some complex miscalculations. I would like to share my views on the simple mistakes with my fellow ‘Chiru’ fans.
For any movie, the components that have big impact are-
Story, Screenplay, Dialogs, Direction, Performance, Music, Action and choreography
Reasons for ‘Stalin not reaching the moon successfully’ (ultimate hit) are -
Except the Performance of Chiru, Prakash Raj the other 6 components were lacking high quality attributes.
According to me, the quality attributes have the following rating (out of 10)
1. Story 6
2. Screenplay 5
3. Dialogs 5
4. Direction 5
5. Performance 7 (because of Chiru and ParakashRaj)
6. Music 5 (because of Rerecording, otherwise..)
7. Action Choreography 4
I do not know why so many basic mistakes are made with the movie. I present a few of them here.
In the climax, Doctor Suman does not complete the operation but tells there is no use in doing it. With the influence of Suneel he successfully saves Stalin. It is not convincing. If he dies with or w/o operation then doing it is simple logic. The seen can be handled better with a simple logic of doctor telling w/o operation stallin can live 1 day, but with operation he may die immediately with 1 out of 1000 success chance. Here Sunil can force the doctor to take the chance. Simply there was no pros and cons calculation shown. Is this mistake done by screen play writer or dialog writer or both. Paruchri brothers with their vast experience could have covered the screenplay mistakes (by Murugadas).
Villan sends goons by 4PM and knowing this Stalin fixes the location for the fight where lot of private property gets damaged. This is against the principle shown in ‘Choodalani Undi’ where hero fixes the location at the ground side of the building.
At the biginning a big tree is collapsed to stop the goons. This also against the principles. This may be ok for other heros but not for ‘chiru’ because of his added responsibilities to the man kind and nature.
The baby was taken out of car and they go to surrounding shops. It seems it is not help but some how they did the harm. It could have been avoided by showing simple logic-
They were contineously looking at the car even though they were searching for the mother and they just missed the two events 1. police taking the car 2.mother worrying at the car location. If this is becoming complex any other good help could have been choosen instead of this risky two edged one.
Chief minister is kept in the van and doctor treating him is also fine. But are we living in the era of telephones or moghul period. It should have been communicated to proper people and still the same sequence of scenes take place.
The army officer not telling stallin of the inside bullet is not convincing. not telling is a harm because there are precautions involved with it.
battle scene was not convincing. I do not explore it. There are many others too..which should not happen for a chiru movie in the future.
One good line that could have been exploited is- Villan is disturbed because of Stalins muscular power and if his very beloved gets help (life saved) through Stallins chain of help and villan comes to know it. It could have been ultimate blow for him.
Final Words:
Chiru should use his good friends like Raghavendra Rao, Aswiniduth for choosing the tunes. or give manisharma time and freedom to finalize them. It seems that Mani is putting lot of effort for Chiru but failing to give a block buster after Indra.
Chiru should form a good team to validate the screenplay and providing proper review comments and the writer closing the comments. Same can be done for the dialog version also.
Then only the shooting should be started. Please take this as a good development process as crores of people happiness is involved with it. The story of ‘lage raho..’ came with lot of effort and they got 10 crores for south rights itself. Chiru should involve only after it has reached a good shape. Please don’t depend on couple of people.
A friend has suggested that Chiru should not do ‘Lage Raho..’. In my opinion Chiru should do it and it makes both the Message and Chiru help each other.
We are looking forward for a greater Chiru movie.
