Hi Chiru,
I am sure this is just 1 of the many letters or advise you receive from millions of your fans.
Here is my constructive criticism to you:
Obviously, I do not know your strategy and plan but this is based on my observation with your interviews and speeches.
You will have to realize and correct your wrong assumptions on below items:
1. Definitely all people in AP are not your fans. You have stop using the sentence “Prajale nirnayistaru”. And you can not assume that you are going to get large bank on votes based on your just fans votes.
2. Define “Prajalu” in your point view. Defnitely, not whole AP.
3. You have to stop using the sentence “Prajalu korite vachanu” . This is giving an impression that you are supporting your decision yourself to come into politics. You do not have to explain everytime. Once you decided, you move forward if you really want to serve.
4. No matter howmany fans you meet, how many leaders join your party. You have to show the bottomline results to people on resolving the issues and providing service.
I am from corporate world from IT.
Some corporate mentality you can apply to Politics and service.
Some of the challenging questions to you:
1. You want to serve people by coming into politics. Define what is your meaning of service?
2. After you define it, what you will do to achieve the the definition of your service?
3. What is your plan to do service?
4. How do you execute the plan to do service?
5. How do you know your service is working or not?
6. How do you measure your results on service? What metrics?
Executives & Management Plan:
1. Top qualities you need to become mature to achieve what you want: Good heart to serve the people, Strategy, Planning, Execution, Leadership, Validation on Results and Performance Improvement.
2. First get a good grasp on what are the major issues AP has?
3. Get a good grasp on what AP people have issues ?
4. Usially multiple problems will be resolve if you resolve few and major causes. Develop multiple strategies for each issues based on research and data. One strategy will not work for an issue based on experts opinion to resolve an issue.
5. Have team work and discuss on all issues with your team and come to consensus on a solution to a problem.
6. Divide your team into groups to work on set of issues and assign a lead to present the propsed solution. Justify why the proposed solution is correct. Discuss with your executive team and make a final decision.
7. Once you come up with stratgey, your team has to prepare a plan for execution and solve the burnign issues.
8. Always show the results to people. This is what matters to people no matter what you do. If you don’t show the results, you are not doing good in people view. Show the results always.
9. Make it transparent and keep open communication. Interact with people like live telecast or radio. Listen to people problems and issues.
10. You have let others leaders from your party get involved with Public and communicate with media with your direction. otherwise people do not know who the other contesting MLAs or MPs. KNowing you only is not suffcient to bank the votes.Remember you need most of the seats to win elections , not just your seat.
11. Don’t say you will do what people say. This shows lack of maturity. You have to LEAD. Listen to people concerns, issues and take input but DO NOT ask what they want you do. People are looking for a leader, not a follower. Be a guide for them and lead them and support them by making right decisions at right time.
12. Performance improvement: We are humans, we make mistakes. If wrong decisions are made part of your plan, try to analyze how to correct them and don’t repeat mistakes.
13. You need have extraordinary “Inflencing” skills. YOu mastered in terms of entertainment. But you are junior with people off-screen. Take advise from Experts.
14. If you start concentrating on “finding people & state problems, proposing solutions” , you are going to influence people and they autimatically come to you. You do not need to request them. Remember the key word “RESULTS”.
