This movie was a relaunch vehicle of actress Vanisree with lots of expectations. ayyaku yamudu ammayiki mogudu Everyone knows the verdict of the movie so lets go to the story:Kalyan (chiru) is an unemployed young man living in the city with his roomie (Brahmanandam) with futile efforts in search of jobs.
Sasirekha (vijayasanthi) is a medico who gets Kalyan into jail due to a mis-understanding and laters falls for him when she comes to know of his true character.
Kalyan though reluctant accepts her love after realising her sincerity.
Kalyan goes to home after recieving a letter from his mother(annapurna) and knows that his sister(varalakshmi), who is working in a big factory owned by Chamundeswari (Vanisree), is in love with her elder son(hemasunder). when he goes to sort things out, he is insulted by Chamundeswari and he returns home saying he will get a better match for her but only to find out that his sister is already pregnant. He comes to know from hemasunder that he infact loves her and is afraid to accept before his mother.
Here Kalyan comes to know that Sasirekha is the daughter of Chamundeswari and he decides to teach her a lesson.
When Chamundeswari comes to know of her daughter’s love affair, she arranges for an immediate marriage but rekha runs away and marries chiru in a temple.
Chamundeswari brings them home reluctantly only to see that there wont be any first night and to seperate them both.
The rest of the story forms about how Kalyan changes her mind and unites the two families. All the songs are hits and chiru has done excellent dances with a different theme for each song.
The confrontation scenes of Vanisree and Chiru get huge applause from the crowds and this was a very huge hit from Geetha Arts with Chiru-AKR combination.

Later this movie was remade as Mappillai with Rajnikanth and Amala in tamil and produced by Chiranjeevi himself.
